It's time for yet another Google doodle -- the window dressing of Google's logo -- and this time the Cricket World Cup 2011 is the occasion being celebrated on the search engine giant's homepage. The Cricket World Cup 2011 Google doodle is the fourth doodle to appear this month on Google's home page celebrating Jules Verne, Thomas Edison's birthdays and most recently Valentine's Day.
The current Cricket World Cup 2011 Google doodle shows a cricketer wielding his willow, specifically a left-handed batsman playing what looks like a pull shot. You can also see a hint of the pitch alongside the green grass of the ground.
The Google Cricket World Cup 2011 doodle celebrates the Cricket World Cup which kicks-off in Mirpur, Bangladesh later today when India play Bangladesh in the opening match. Unfortunately, the Cricket World Cup 2011 Google doodle isn't an animated one, as we've seen with past Google doodles.
Still that is no reason not to enjoy today's Google Cricket World Cup doodle. Hope you enjoy the World Cup as well
